The S-4 Logistics section maintains the unit and ensures that the Company is adequately prepared and ready for operations and combat deployments. Logistics is constantly looking for ways to innovate and streamline the nature in which the unit operates.

S-4 Logistics

Mission

In the 2nd Ranger Battalion, S-4 is responsible for the maintenance and continued operation of server functions. Mission editing and website development coupled with content collection and server maintenance are all functions of S-4 that fall to the staff. S-4 is entirely responsible for the health of the server in ensuring the server status remains positive, and contact with the server provider is maintained. S-4 also develops the mission files themselves to ensure that the operations and combat deployments are adequately organized and look professional whilst in-game. Logistics Specialists also curate the workshop for new content and equipment to put onto the server.

Staff Section Positions

S-4 Logistics is structured with positions that pertain to the management and running of the group servers and websites.

S-4 Logistics Officer (1LT)

The S-4 Logistics Officer oversees all subordinate S-4 personnel and provides them with any logistical needs that they may need to complete their assigned duties. This position is held usually by a First Lieutenant or higher.

S-4 Logistics Chief (SSG)

The Logistics Chief oversees the technical maintenance of Unit-owned game servers. He is tasked with keeping the game servers up to date and operationally ready for utilization. He is also tasked with assisting the S-4 Logistics Officer and assumes his responsibilities in his absence. This position is held usually by a Staff Sergeant or higher.

S-4 Website Specialist (SGT)

The Website Specialist(s) are tasked with the upkeep and update of the unit website not including the forums. This position is held usually by a Sergeant or higher.

S-4 Mission Specialist (SPC)

The Mission Team Specialist(s) are tasked with the creation of all official mission files to be utilized by the unit. This position is held usually by a Specialist or higher.
